ROCKVILLE – James Edward Rowe, 413 Lincoln Ave., a retired city policeman and merchant, died at 8:30 p.m. Sunday in Vermillion County Hospital at Clinton. He was a son of James and Louise Foreman Rowe and was born Sept. 9, 1882. Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Edna Branson of Rockville; a son, Pearlie Rowe, also of this city, and seven grandchildren and several great grandchildren. His wife preceded him in death. Mr. Rowe was a member of the Rockville Baptist Church. Funeral services are at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Barnes Mortuary. Rev. Dale Payne will be the minister, with burial in the Rowe Cemetery.
